Leslie Thorne was paid $1.8 million last week in a medical malpractice case against Dr. David Glick. The jury originally awarded Thorne a $4 million verdict, but the judgment was later reduced to $1.8 million because of Virginia medical damages caps.
Thorne alleged in court last June that Dr. Glick misdiagnosed her heart condition. After seeing two other doctors about her enlarged heart condition, Thorne went to Glick, who diagnosed her with having hepatitis and then gave her a prescription.
Later it was discovered that Thorne had a rare heart condition caused by childbirth and needed a heart transplant.
