Medical device manufacturing company Biomet had 27 medical malpractice suits brought against it by patients injured by a former West Virginia osteopath. They have settled the case pending approval.
The doctor implanted bone stimulators in about 120 patients whom he misdiagnosed, injured or killed. Biomet admits no wrongdoing on the part of the company.
