When do birth injuries lead to medical malpractice cases?

by Administrator 5. February 2010 07:09

Not all birth injuries are the result of medical malpractice. In some cases, the birth injury is due to the health of the mother. In other cases, the birth injury may be the result of the natural risks that are inherent in delivery.

For a birth injury to be the result of medical malpractice, the injury must be the result of the delivering doctor's negligence. This means that the doctor did not follow procedure or act in a way that is reasonably expected of a doctor.

If your child has suffered a birth injury, contact the Washington medical malpractice lawyers of Fuller & Fuller at 800-570-4878.
