A stillbirth is the death of a baby that occurs after the 20th week of pregnancy and before the baby is delivered. The tragedy of stillbirth happens in about 1 in 200 pregnancies. In as many as 1/3 of the cases, the reason why the baby was stillborn is never known.

Doubly tragic is a still birth that could have been prevented. Your medical provider has a duty to properly care for you and your baby during the pregnancy and delivery. If you have questions or doubts about why your baby died, please contact Fuller & Fuller, Attorneys, for answers. Fuller & Fuller is a family of attorneys who will evaluate your case for free. - You were concerned about your baby's lack or decrease of fetal movement and you reported it and nothing was done;
- Your labor and delivery was more then 2 weeks after your due date, or your doctor had trouble establishing your due date;
- You had problems with too much or too little amniotic fluid during your pregnancy;
- You had pre-eclampsia and doctor had concerns about your high blood pressure, protein in your urine, and edema (swelling);
- You and the baby seemed to be doing well when you came into the hospital to be delivered, but something went very wrong during delivery;
- were treated only by a midwife.
To determine whether you have a strong claim, these are among the factors that Fuller & Fuller, Attorneys, will analyze:
- Whether malpractice occurred, and whether the malpractice took place within the time allowed to bring a claim, or whether it is barred by the statute of limitations;
- Whether the doctor failed to perform appropriate testing to allow an informed diagnosis;
- Whether the doctor failed to administer the necessary medical or surgical procedures;
- How much money in damages would be appropriate to compensate the family.
